WHO CAN VOTE?
- A citizen of the United States
- A resident of the state of Oklahoma
- 18 years old or older at the time of registering to vote
- While 17 year olds may preregister, they may not participate in primary elections, even if they will be 18 on Election day. Also, keep in mind if you turn 18 less than 25 days before the next election, your application will not be processed until after the election.

THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO VOTE IS 25 DAYS BEFORE THE NEXT ELECTION. KEEP IN MIND THAT EVEN IF YOU REGISTER BEFORE THE DEADLINE, NO VOTER CARDS WILL BE MAILED AFTER THE DEADLINE.
As the Oklahoma primary is a closed primary, the Democratic primary is only open to Democrats. However, the Democratic party has decided that for the 2020 primaries, Independents may vote.
As the Oklahoma primary is a closed primary, the Republican primary is only open to Republicans.
